Change is a tricky thing. At Urkund, 2019 was a year filled with it. We grew from 10 to over 30 employees in no time, we conquered new markets (India being one of special mention) we launched a new user interface as well as a new brand identity. All alongside a whole new website and not to mention new internal routines and ways of doing things. To say it was a busy year would be a bit of an understatement. It means, of course, we have learned a thing or two about change and how complex it can be. We were reminded that Rome wasn’t built in a day and that some things simply take a little time. Which is ok.
And this is the reason why 2020 is going to be a fantastic year. With a team of experts in plagiarism prevention and 20 years of experience under our belt, we want to show you that change doesn’t need to be complicated. As more and more countries and regions invest in the digitalisation of their school system, the approach to safeguard original thinking becomes increasingly thorough. Our goal is to provide everyone with a chance of fair and equal education that is based on own merits and hard work, rather than someone else’s ideas.
Changing routines and introducing a new tool at your learning institution can be hard to convince your staff about. Start with small changes that you can then progressively upscale. Urkund, for example, is perfect for that. Our plagiarism detection comes as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution and doesn’t need to be installed locally. Meaning it doesn’t require any additional staff to get started and not much IT knowledge is needed. It immediately helps you to establish some ground rules and processes that support academic integrity at your school or university. You can either use it as a stand–alone software or have it integrated into your current LMS/VLE which we can help you with. As our plagiarism detection system is extremely effective in looking for potential plagiarism, has an uptime of 99.9 % and generates low support, we have thousands of happy customers worldwide. So why not start this year with a small change that will have a major impact?
A resolution we can get behind ;)!
Have the best year yet,
